Why See Black Violin?

ClassicalConcertsRap & Hip Hop

A Classical Concert Like No Other

Classical music meets hip hop in the groundbreaking duo Black Violin and their Classical Boom Tour, an outting that blurs the lines between genre, race and gender with its unique fusion of groove and strings. The outfit features Will Baptiste on viola and Kev Marcus on violin.

With a dedicated touring schedule and classical music training under their belts, Baptiste and Marcus certainly blast away the cobwebs with a dynamic and energetic show - this isn't the type of quiet recital where you can fall asleep unnoticed in the back row... They emphatically encourage flash photography and a party atmosphere at their concerts. Prepare for duelling strings, a tight rhythm section and hip hop samples!
