Stage & Screen Icon Mandy Patinkin Returns To The Stage
Influential stage and screen star Mandy Patinkin returns to his roots to tread the boards in a series of special performances presented by the New York Theatre Workshop this summer. Revisiting the songs that made him, including a few Broadway favorites and classics of the American Songbook, as well as solo material, the Tony and Primetime Emmy Award winner is joined by well known musical director and pianist Adam Ben-David for an intimate musical journey you won't want to miss.
Originally from Chicago, Patinkin quickly found fame thanks to a stirring musical theatre debut as Che in the 1979 Broadway production of Evita, winning a Tony Award for his efforts. This paved the way for a stellar career in film, which includes leading roles in Yentl, Ragtime and The Princess Bride to name a few hits. Most recently he has left a lasting impression on TV audiences as counterterrorism operative Saul Berenson in the smash hit Homeland. Whilst he may no longer be singing in Sondheim, Patinkin still has the sonorous, emotion-stirring voice of his Broadway beginnings.
