The Broadway legend celebrates the work of Johnny Mercer
Two time Tony winner Christine Ebersole (Grey Gardens, War Paint) graces the NJPAC with her presence this October, as she pays tribute to Johnny Mercer. She'll be regaling the audience with some of her favorite Mercer numbers, and will be joined on stage by theater historian Robert Kimball, who will share stories from throughout the songwriter's career.
A songwriter of prodigious talent, Mercer penned some of the greatest songs in popular music history. Among his best known numbers are those he wrote for the silver screen, including his four Oscar winners: 'Moon River', 'In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening', 'On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe', and 'Days of Wine and Roses'.
