A Time Like This - Music for Change Presents a Vibrant Selection of Songs in A Festival Celebrating All Things 60s
As part of a festival that celebrates the 60s, A Time Like This - Music for Change comes to Carnegie Hall. The show brings together young performers from the Weill Music Institute's programs with contemporary artists to celebrate equal rights, economic empowerment and peace, all prominent themes amongst the youth in the 60s.
Entitled 'The 60s: The Years that Changed America,' the festival is inspired by journalist and author Robert Allan Caro and showcases much loved songs from the 60s as well as music from New York residents of all ages.
As a time of protest and social change, the decade reflects many things that are currently happening now and remains a time of great social and political change that makes it a fascinating time to reflect on. The festival includes lectures, panel discussions, exhibitions, films and of course music that celebrates 60s classics while supporting local New York talent.
