LEWIS BLACK AT THE MAJESTIC

Lewis was fantastic, should name his tour, "Welcome to the Real"! Dallas welcomed him with open arms and crazy enthusiasm! Great event, great time.

LEWIS BLACK ALWAYS TELL IS LIKE IT IS AND WITH STYLE.

I had the pleasure one again of seeing Lewis Black at the Balboa Theater on November 2nd. His wit, timing, and ranting is always a bright light in my mundane life. He always tells it like it is and says thing s "out loud" that we are all thinking. My favorite joke of his was for Prevagen, the drugs that improves your memory. He said, "I OD'd on Prevagen once and now I'm remembering things that haven't even happened yet!!!" The man is a genius and everyone had a great time. Please come back soon Lewis, we don't like waiting two years between shows.

LEWIS BLACK AT THE PARAMOUNT IN DENVER

Lewis was in rare form, and his show was fabulous! For some reason, the audience had several obnoxious women close to the stage hooting, and hollering during his show. It took a while, but he owned them after a while. Finally, more than halfway through the show, one incredibly obnoxious woman was escorted out after he had to stop his show to deal with her. It was amazing to watch him ad lib and jump seemingly effortlessly back into his routine. Managers of future events, please usher people like this out MUCH sooner, so the Pro can do his thing. …still a great, great show!

TRUE BLUE STATES DIDN'T LAUGH

The easily offended and scared to laugh crowds didn't get it. He was hilarious and unafraid to tell it like it is... in true LB form

COMEDY GOLD

I thought Lewis Black was hilarious. His timing was great. I laughed til I thought my head would explode. I cannot wait for him to come back. Also, Black is not for the faint of heart, that’s probably what I like about him.

DALLAS. NOV 4, 2022

Outrageousl funny. Had the audience in the palm of his hands. He manages to keep it current, topical and funny as hell. If you don't get his humor, stay home and try to get a life because you are missing out on an evening of a lifetime.

DENVER AUDIENCE IS THE WORST.

Denver once again proved that it is truly a hick town. He was interrupted 5 times by some moron from Colorado Springs. With less than 15 minutes left, she was finally removed. Lewis was genuinely pissed off, but we enjoyed how he embarrassed her every time she opened her mouth. Do they not have security at the Paramount? He apologized to the audience every time she interrupted, and noted the money people paid for their seats. We had purchased our seats 2 years ago, and they were excellent. The Paramount theatre is an amazing venue. This is an unbelievable side story that you will think is embellished, but I swear it is true. The lady in front of my wife, who consumed 2 glasses of wine before the show, and 2 during, told us her husband loved stand up comedy, and wanted to surprise him with tickets to the show. Talk about "are you fucking kidding me", she had never heard of Lewis Black, but figured he would be funny because he was black. Mr Black, you are the best. Hope Sat is better.

A LITTLE WORN OUT

One hour of The warmup comic before Lewis Black hit the stage, a little worn out in anticipation. Lewis had some funny material but he and the material, a little worn out. He spoke softly until he dropped the “F” bomb which the crowd roared over. By the time the crowd settled back down you missed Lewis’ follow up joke but once again heard loudly the next “F” bomb; and so on. The ranting segment was next, but by then we were worn out.

NOT HIS BEST SHOW

While it was great to get out, and I always love supporting comedians, this whole show was pretty tired. It included about 65% covid-related jokes between Lewis and the opening act, which is entirely too much in my opinion. I do appreciate and understand that the climate of comedy is tenuous and I'm certain that it's difficult to navigate. That said, it all felt basic and too safe. And this is neither here nor there, but being a sober person surrounded by extremely drunk people over-laughing and talking amongst themselves doesn't help the experience.

LEWIS SEEMS TO BE LOSING THE PUNCH

We saw Lewis about two years ago at the same venue. At that time we left with our sides hurting from his performance. Last night Oct 6th was completely different. The warm up act was mediocre at best. Started out ok but soon turned to Trump bashing and continued. Lewis came out and started out with the Chicago marathon and continued with bye week in football. After that the show turned on and off about bashing Trump and Republicans. Some of the times it felt uncomfortable if it was funny or not. Some laughter from the crowd seemed to be uneasy laughter. I think Lewis has lost his steam and watching his show was nothing more than watching late night TV which I personally have stopped doing. I'm hopeful that Lewis can find his mo jo again but I won't be buying anymore tickets to his show anytime soon. Too bad that we can't find anything else funny or any other source of material other than an anti- Thump rally that cost 100 bucks a seat.

BIG FAN BUT LEWIS WAS SO TAME

Chicago theater on Saturday, October 6. I love this guy but I kept wanting to scream from the balcony “Get Angry”. He is 70 now and he also said that he recently was in Ireland and had pneumonia. I noticed his breathing was a little off. Maybe it was hard for him to give as much because that affected his lungs. I don’t know what it was but I thought it was a lot of money for that we got. I had read some reviews before going to the show and some people complaining about too much Trump in this show but there was hardly any Trump. I felt like Lewis was too concerned about his reviews and maybe the 10% of right wing that complain About what he says.. I think he should stick to what he’s great at and give it 110%. I also think smaller venues would be good for his comedy. The Chicago theater was a little big. Seeing him up from the balcony was not enjoyable. Only wish him the best. Maybe he’s tired of getting angry about everything. Maybe it was just an off night. Still a fan.

VERY LITTLE LEWIS BLACK AT THIS LEWIS BLACK SHOW

I went to the Thursday night show. It started at 8:10 with the lamest backup comic I've ever seen, and he was on for almost an HOUR! Terrible delivery, openly forgot some of his jokes. About as topical and timely as a buggy whip; he droned on forever about Gwyneth Paltrow's "conscious uncoupling," which was, what, about five years ago? Then there was a 20-minute intermission! Then Lewis Black came on for an hour, which was great! Then he left for a couple of minutes, then came back to start his live podcast. He went about ten minutes, then handed the microphone over to some guy I've never heard of who ranted on about how evil the religious right is. The fact that there was a minimal amount of Lewis Black was apparently fine with the highly enthusiastic audience, as long as a steady stream of lame anti-Trump jabs kept coming. BOTTOM LINE: If you're in the mood for an anti-Trump rally, you'll love this show. If you want to see Lewis Black, look up his YouTube videos.

OLD POLITICS

Started off with some funny stuff but then talked about the pandemic and the vaccine from the left part of the stage. I heard enough of that same stuff from the media for 14 months I felt like I was listening to CNN with a little twist to get its followers a laugh. It would have been more entertaining if he would have been talking about something rather than political humor from one side the country is divided enough stop prolonging it

SAD TO SEE

I was a huge Lewis Black fan until last night. With so many things happening in the world, and as Black admitted his material is nurtured during his show, it was sad to see him devoting half of his show to covid and the other half knocking a former President. While his obvious liberal leanings did not bother me, there were so many other topics which would have hit home which would have been a balance to all in his audience, i.e. inflation, Putin, the Oscars, thousands crossing our borders. Even my ultra liberal daughter thought he lost his old humor and became more of a screaming advocate. Also someone in his entourage should tell him the difference between Wal-Mart and Costco/Sam's Club. It ruined his joke.

F BOMB WAY TO MUCH

I swear every other word was f… Wasn’t necessary and then he went political and that was way too much. Looked like he was have a hard time standing on stage. We left before it was done. So bad!!!!!!

NO LONGER FUNNY

He was once funny, especially political commentary. Now he sounds like an angry NY liberal who is afraid to take a shot at anyone but a conservative republican. He also used to be very accurate in the use of facts for his jokes, now it is more what plays to the left. And what happened to the in show commentary from the pad? We walked out of this show without being entertained.

LEWIS BLACK SHOULD PROBABLY RETIRE

I was super excited to see his show. Sadly, we were so disappointed that we walked out in the middle with zero regrets. He and Jimmy Fallon may be using the same comedy writers at this point. He started strong with stories about his parents living to be over 100. It was hysterical material relatable to almost anyone. However, he quickly turned to bashing conservatives. It was tired noncreative comedy that any amateur could deliver. At times, I felt like I was being lectured by one of my old angry college professors. Don't waste your money.
