Love after death gets a whole new meaning
The romantic comedy gets a dark metaphysical with The Chekhov Dreams, which holds its world premiere at the Beckett this winter. Written by John McKinney, the story follows the romance between Jeremy and his dead fiancee, who pays him regular visits him from beyond the grave, in his dreams. But when a living, breathing women takes a liking to Jeremy, his deceased lover starts to turn seriously spooky.
The Chekhov Dreams was the recipient of two New York Innovative Theatre Award nominations during its development, and is directed Off-Broadway by Leslie Kincaid Burby.
