THE BIG YIN RETURNS WITH HIS 2015 HIGH HORSE WORLD TOUR

The Big Yin is back on this side of the Pond with his brand-new High Horse Tour, hitting the Beacon Theater in New York , NY , Closed April 27, 2016 . Known for his sweary, exuberant observations on the fallacies of his fellow humans, Connolly has been a mainstay of the international comedy circuit since coming to prominence in the late Seventies and Eighties. Despite suffering from ill health in recent years, it has done nothing to stop him from performing live to audiences worldwide, often leaving them weeping from mirth in their seats.

Starting off in the Glasgow shipyard trade in the early 1960s, he gave it up towards the end of the decade to pursue a career as a folk singer in The Humblebums alongside friend Gerry Rafferty until 1971, when he turned his efforts to solo work. subsequently as a soloist. That decade saw him move from folk musician, comedy singer, to fully fledged comic. He has also appeared in various films, most notably Mrs Brown in 1997 opposite Judy Dench; as Merida's towering clan leader father in Pixar's Brave and in the third Hobbit movie.
