When American musical comedy-drama Crazy Ex-Girlfriend first aired on the CW in 2015, it introduced the world to the mad comedic genius of Rachel Bloom. Writing and starring in the show, her hilarious song-and-dance numbers (parodying past and present pop classics) garnered a huge following, graduating the production from little sitcom to part of the pop culture zeitgeist.
Now Bloom, alongside her Crazy Ex-Girlfriend musical partner-in-crime Adam Schlesinger, will be bringing the songs that influenced their writing for the show to the stage as part of the Lincoln Center's American Songbook series. Power Ballads mingle with Broadway showtunes and a big dose of mirthful self-deprecation in a program of classics that you won't want to miss.
