The New York premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Beth Henley's The Jacksonian

Why See The Jacksonian?

The Jacksonian is a play by Pulitzer Prize winner Beth Henley. This off-Broadway production by the acclaimed The New Group marks the New York premier for this work, and will star an A-list cast including Ed Harris, Glenne Headly, Amy Madigan and Bill Pullman.

Harris plays a dentist who is kicked out of home by his wife (Amy Madigan). Encounters with a host of characters including his teenage daughter, a treacherous bartender (Bill Pullman) and an employee of the motel in which he is staying (played by Glenne Headly) help to punctuate his decline and play out alongside the sub-plot of a recent murder investigation.

Set in 1960s Mississippi, The Jacksonian brims full of suspense and dark humor, and unearths the errie tensions and maddness of a town poisoned by racism.
