After taking London by storm earlier in the year Marianne Elliot's Olivier award nominated revival of Stephen Sondheim's classic musical, Company arrives on Broadway in March.
Joining Katrina Lenk as, the now female, Bobbi and Patti LuPone as Joanne will be Matt Doyle as Jamie, Christopher Fitzgerald as David, Christopher Sieber as Harry, Jennifer Simard as Sarah, Terence Archie as Larry, Etai Benson as Paul, Nikki Renee Daniels as Jenny, Claybourne Elder as Andy, Greg Hildreth as Peter, Kyle Dean Massey as Theo and Bobby Conte Thornton as P.J.
Directed by Elliot this production is choreographed by Liam Steel with a book by George Furth.
Bobbi, traditionally Robert up till now, is celebrating her 35th birthday in the company of her friends, all of whom are either married or engaged. Through a series of visits with the couples we learn that the well-liked Bobbi has trouble with commitment as evidenced in her numerous affairs, but still hopes to find the right person for her. As each group has its say on Bobbi's singledom and marriage prospects (and state of their own), Company begins to question the old adage that the grass is greener on the other side.
