The Ferryman Extends On Broadway!

Now playing through to July 7

After receiving five-star reviews across the board, Broadway's latest hit, The Ferryman has announced that they will be extending their run at the Bernard B Jacobs Theater through to July 7, 2019. The Same Mendes helmed production was originally scheduled to perform a limited run at the Broadway venue through to February 17.

The production debuted in London last year where it garnered three Olivier awards, including Best New Play. Written by Jez Butterworth the production stars much of the original London cast with Paddy Considine leading as Quinn Carney. Laura Donnelly, who won the Olivier award for Best Actress for her performance, also stars.

What is The Ferryman about?

Set during the height of the 'Troubles', the story centres on the farming Carney family, residing in rural County Derry. As they prepare to bring in the year's harvest, their peaceful idyll is shattered with the arrival of a visitor. Bringing troubling news of a prison hunger strike in which 10 republican prisoners starved themselves to death, the large family are faced with a choice; to take up the sword in aid of the prisoners or work the fields for the family.

The Ferryman is currently playing at the Bernard B Jacobs Theater through to July 7, 2019.
