Author Val Emmich has teamed up with the creator of Dear Evan Hansen to create a page-turner of the hit musical. This now gives people who are unable to afford the tickets or make it to New York, the chance to experience the musical for themselves.
Emmich was able to use the show's score in order to draw inspiration; if he was unsure of what a character's emotions were at the time, he would listen to the music and use that to pinpoint.
Little, Brown Books has slated the release of Dear Evan Hansen: The Novel for October 9, 2018.
