What did the critics think of Cruel Intentions: The Musical?

On December 11, Cruel Intentions: The Musical officially opened at (le) Poisson Rouge. The musical has also been extended through February 2018 - it was originally scheduled to run through January 29. Here's what the critics had to say;

The New York Times said, the 'musical faithfully follows the movie's plot and includes all the classic lines', BroadwayWorld thought it was 'a tantalizing night out mixed with incredible voices and charm.' The Huffington Post didn't sing its praises but stated, 'the most defining part of the musical by far is the score - not high art, but it is fun, sexy and seductive'.

Theater Pizzazz, on the other hand, did praise it and said it was, 'savvy, engaging, fun pop culture entertainment.
