Stereophonic at John Golden Theater

Stereophonic

Nominated for 13 2024 Tony Awards and winner of five, including Best Play! Written by David Adjmi, with songs by Will Butler of Arcade Fire, this heavily buzzed production takes you on a wild ride through the day-to-day of five rock musicians making an album in the early 70s. The story itself is one of infighting, frustration, romance, and rock'n'roll (all the things you'd expect from a disagreeing 70's band). David Adjmi notes he drew inspiration from iconic band Fleetwood Mac and came up with the idea while listening to Led Zepplin and pondering "What would it have been like to be in the studio when this was being recorded?".

The Play That Goes Wrong at Stage 4 New World Stages

The Play That Goes Wrong

Although export comedy smash hit The Play That Goes Wrong made its final Broadway bow at the Lyceum theater in January 2019, theatregoers and critics adore Mischief Theatre's first production so much that it simply moved to a long term home Off Broadway at the New World Stages! From humble off-West End beginnings at London's Old Red Lion fringe theater/pub in 2013 (rumour has it a mere four audience members attended its debut), the riotously funny rib-tickler of a show has grown to become a global phenomenon, merging slapstick physical comedy with a wry sense of tongue-firmly-in-cheek British wit and a winning self awareness.
