At the insistence of his evil second
wife, Cymbeline, King of Britain, agrees to the
marriage of his daughter Imogen to Cloten, his
wife's son. Unbeknownst to the king, Imogen has
secretly wed her suitor, Posthumus. The action
follows the political and emotional ramifications
of Imogen's pursuit of Posthumus.perfection.
