Why See Macbeth?

Lincoln Center Theater proudly presents its 2013/2014 season's production of the Shakespearean classic, Macbeth, starring Ethan Hawke alongside Anne-Marie Duff as Lady Macbeth, and directed by Tony winner Jack O'Brien.

Although this is the New York stage debut for English actress Anne-Marie Duff, Hawke has been previously seen on a Broadway stage in the title role of Chekhov's Ivanov in 2012, as well as behind the scenes as a director on several off-Broadway productions.

Director Jack O'Brien presents Macbeth in the footsteps of his two Tony-winning productions - Henry IV and Journey to the Coast of Utopia - both of which were also collaborations with Ethan Hawke in the title role.

Don't miss the opportunity to catch Hawke's dark portrayal of the tragic Lord Macbeth and his descent into madness in this iconic play.
