Since their foundation in 1973 they have performed over a thousand commissions, from composers and artists as diverse and wide-ranging as as Steve Reich, Bjork, Philip Glass, Frank Zappa, Nine Inch Nails, Arvo Part, Paul McCartney and many, many more.

The Town Hall is a performance venue located in midtown Manhattan, New York City. It was opened at the beginning of 1921, and has a seating capacity of 1,500. The venue was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012 by the National Park Service, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2013. It has become one of New York City's top locations for music and dance, as well as being a venue that hosts meetings, special events and presentations.
