Nathan Lane Back on Broadway
In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, Roundabout Theatre is revisiting one of its greatest hits! The Man Who Came to Dinner was the company's inaugural production at the restored American Airlines Theater in 2000. Many of that Tony-nominated production's cast return for this staged reading, including two-time Tony winner Nathan Lane, who was last seen treading the boards in the monster hit comedy It's Only A Play earlier this year. He'll be joined by Tony winner Harriet Harris (Thoroughly Modern Millie, It Shoulda Been You), Emmy-winner Jean Smart (Fraiser) and other original cast members.
Written by George S. Kauffman and Moss Hart, this classic comedy follows the turmoil wreaked by loud-mouth radio personality Sheridan Whiteside on a rich Midwestern family, after he falls and breaks his hip at their front door, and is forced to recuperate in their care.
