Four comedians in a group therapy session - what could go wrong?
After a successful run last year, Sit Down, Shut Up & Eat returns to the Snapple Theater Center for a return engagement in 2015. The laugh-filled production is written by and stars four seasoned New York comedians, Eric Tartaglione, Joe Moffa, Chris Monty and Tina Girogi. The director is Eve Bransttein.
The show begins in a group therapy session, for which the therapist has failed to show up. Not wanting to waste time, the impatient Italian American participants decide to try and work through their issues themselves, with hilarious results. Sit Down, Shut Up & Eat has been termed the first ever 'plomedy' by its creators, a new genre which combines the smoothly delivered patter of stand-up comedy and the format of a play.
