Members of the Cavendish theatrical dynasty decide they must choose between life in the theatre or life as civilians.

A rollicking portrait of a flamboyant theatrical family and how they cope with the dumbfounding fact that one of them wishes to marry someone NOT actually connected with show business. Though a thinly-veiled parody of the Barrymore family circa 1927, the family is full of timeless showbiz archetypes.
