Award winning playwright Martyna Majok brings her darkly funny play to New York, with Gina Gershon in the lead role. Helmed by Daniella Topol, Ironbound tracks the life of Polish immigrant Darja over the course of two decades, and the men who both aid and hinder her struggle to survive. First produced in DC as part of the Women's Voices Theater Festival, it's a vital and damning portrait of the American dream.
Known for her roles in films such as Killer Joe, Bound and Cocktail, Gina Gershon is no stranger to the New York stage. She starred as Sally Bowles in the 1998 revival of Cabaret, while her other Broadway credits include Bye Bye Birdie and Boeing Boeing.
