Christmas season and celebrates 75
years of shows in magnificent fashion.

routines, elaborate costumes, stunning
stage effects and more. In addition
to show-stopping favorites like 'Parade
of the Wooden Soldiers' and 'Living
Nativity' there's a brand new opening
to the show that's sure to dazzle

A sensational new scene, 'Deck the
Halls,' was added to the Christmas
Spectacular last year. The scene
is set at Radio City Music Hall, on
the opening night of the show as the
Rockettes decorate the historic venue
for the holiday. Included are
a delightful new tap number, the rousing
new song 'I See Christmas Everywhere,' and
innovative new sets. Audiences
will also enjoy an exciting 3D film
that takes viewers on a magical sleigh
ride through New York City.
The 1932 debut of the Radio City
Christmas Spectacular marked the premier
of the Parade of the Wooden Soldiers,
choreographed by Rockettes' founder
Russell Markert, and the breathtaking Living
Nativity, which features live donkeys,
camels, sheep and a horse. Other
showstoppers today include 'Here Comes
Santa Claus' in which every member
of the cast appears dressed as Saint
Nick, and 'A Little Girl's Dream,'
a tribute to Tchaikovsky's 'The Nutcracker.'
The Christmas Spectacular began as a holiday gift between Radio
City movie screenings, and expanded
into a full 90 minute extravaganza
in 1979. This year over
1.2 million people from arounf the
world are expected to attend, making
it the #1 live show in America.
