A world premiere comedy
New Ohio Theatre founder Robert Lyon debuts his brand new play Death of the Liberal Class this January. Based on the book of the same name by Pulitzer winner Chris Hedges, this world premiere is a dark comedy centered on a burned-out left-wing journalist, who retreats to the country to clear his head. His peace is soon interrupted by the arrival of his daughter and her boyfriend, and then his wife, come to negotiate the terms of their divorce.
A witty exploration of liberal parenting and mid-life crises, Death of the Liberal Class is directed by Jerry Haymann. Among the cast are Steven Rattazzi, Jeanette Dilone, Olivia Horton, Melissa Murray, Justin Colon and Arthur Aulisi.
