Eugene and his older brother Stanley have started their careers as professional comedy writers, but at home in Brighton Beach, their parents’ marriage is falling apart. When the brothers use these problems as the inspiration for a comedy skit, family bonds threaten to disappear.
In Neil Simon's semi-autobiographical comedy, two brothers in WWII-era Brooklyn dream and scheme to break into big-time comedy writing. But first they must deal with the demands of their eccentric family.
