The long-haired legend of Latin pop
Beginning his career in the pop group Los Bukis, the long-haired, Mexican lothario Marco Antonio Solis has now been making music for nearly half a century. Since splitting from Los Bukis (best known for tracks Tu Carcel and Triste Imaginar), Solis has released ten solo studio albums, and has landed online number ones on Billboard's Hot Latin tracks chart. His phenomenal success has taken him far outside the usual boundaries of latin music, and in 2010 was immortalised with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Earlier this year, his influence on pop music was honoured by Enrique Iglesias, who featured Solis on his massive hit El Perdedor.
