BURN THE FLOOR Extends Thru 1/3; Gets CBS 2 News Feature,10/18

Broadway's BURN THE FLOOR will be featured on CBS 2 News Sunday Morning this Sunday, October 18 at 8:46 AM when anchor Dana Tyler interviews company members Robin Windsor and Sarah Soriano. WCBS airs on Channel 2 in the tri-state area. In addition, the show has announced that it will extend its current run through January 3, 2010 due to popular demand.

Windsor and Soriano, who have toured the world with the show, speak about their experience in the hottest show on Broadway. Soriano also discusses her experience as a breast cancer survivor.

BURN THE FLOOR was the first Broadway show of the new season. After opening in August and breaking box office records at the Longacre Theatre, the show announced its extension to January 3 2010.

The NY Daily News called it "Athletic, sensual and rocket-fueled." Bloomberg.com has deemed it called "Utterly theatrical" and NY 1 TV called it "Hot, hot, hot. Pulse pounding choreography. A two hour adrenaline rush featuring some of the best and best-looking ballroom dancers in the world."

BURN THE FLOOR opened on August 2. It received four stars from the NY Daily News which called it "Athletic, sensual and rocket-fueled." Bloomberg.com called "Utterly theatrical" and NY 1 TV called it "Hot, hot, hot. Pulse-pounding choreography. A two hour adrenaline rush featuring some of the best and best-looking ballroom dancers in the world."

BURN THE FLOOR plays at Broadway's Longacre Theatre, 220 West 48 Street. The show has broken box office records at the Longacre Theatre and has extended its limited run to January 3 2010.
