Mark Brokaw (The Constant Wife) directs this new production of the psychological drama by Tennessee Williams. Tony® and Emmy award winner Blythe Danner (Follies, TV's "Huff") stars as the formidable Mrs. Venable, an aging widow distraught over the mysterious death of her son. When the young cousin who traveled with him, played by Carla Gugino (After the Fall), begins raising scandalous allegations, Mrs. Venable will stop at nothing to preserve her son's reputation.

Suddenly Last Summer marks Blythe Danner's fourth production with Roundabout, where she last starred as Phyllis in Steven Sondheim's Follies (Tony Nomination). Carla Gugino made her New York stage debut in Roundabout Theatre Company's 2004 Broadway production of Arthur Miller's After The Fall.

The cast also features Becky Ann Baker (Assassins) as Mrs. Holly, Gale Harold ("Queer As Folk," "Vanished") as Doctor Cukrowicz, Sandra Shipley (Arms and the Man) as Sister Felicity, Karen Walsh (Let's Face It) as Miss Foxhill and Wayne Wilcox (A Man of No Importance) as George Holly.

The Suddenly Last Summer design team includes Santo Loquasto (sets & costumes), David Weiner (lights), Peter Golub (original music & sound) and Ryan Powers (sound).
