"A resounding 'Bravo'! The banter is witty, pacing crisp, and twists and turns true one-upmanship. Steven W Rodgers has hit the mark with this one."

Why See The Will to Get Married, Act III?

PlaysComedy Theatre

One Night Only

Playwright and composer Steven W Rodgers (Revolutionary Gentleman, Rodgers and Christopher's Cinderella) presents a staged reading of his zany comedy, 'The Will to Get Married, Act III', for one night only.

This short play is the third in a comedy trilogy on the theme of love and death. The play begins with yuppie couple Molly and George Paradise, who have the perfect marriage, except for one minor problem - they’re already divorced! When a young redneck farmer from Alabama stops by to use the bathroom, Molly enlists his help in rekindling their romance, mistaking him for the sex therapist she'd ordered online. When other misfits with their absurd advice invade their once peaceful home, it becomes obvious their relationship will never be the same.

The reading will be directed by playwright Steven W Rodgers, who will also be directing the fully staged production of the entire trilogy this October in New York. He is currently writing the satirical comedy, 'The KGB Takes Up Interior Decorating'.
