The Dead, 1904 returns this fall for the second run of 51 performances. This unique and memorable experience immerses you into the world of a 1904 dinner party. You'll be sharing the food and drink, whilst being entertained by dancing, singing and buried marital confessions. This event will take place in the outstanding C.1900 mansion of the American Irish historical society on fifth avenue in New York City - what more do you want from a dinner party?
What does it actually mean to be dead or alive? This is something Gabriel wonders after learning something about his wife that changes his whole perspective of her whilst attending a holiday gathering, The Feast of the Epiphany, in a Dublin home of two elderly sisters; Kate and Julia Morkan and their niece Mary Jane. Attending the party are students, friends, a celebrated tenor, a lost alcoholic, Gabriel and his wife. There will be speeches and disagreements, polite and impolite discussions, lessons will be learnt and rediscovering yourself is on the menu.
Only 2000 tickets will be sold and all tickets include the performance, gourmet holiday dinner, wine, stout and spirits. You'll be following the characters from room to room around this historic mansion, a perfect way to evoke the atmosphere of the story.
