Hot Feet follows a talented and ambitious young woman named Kalimba, who dreams of becoming a renowned dancer. As she competes with dancers who have just as much drive and ambition as she does, Kalimba finds herself deterred by a mother who wants only to protect her, an impresario's desire to control her, a choreographer's love for her, and a pair of red shoes that determine her fate.
Hot Feet is an infectious, heart-stopping, new dance musical - the most recent creation of Tony-nominated dancer, actor and choreographer Maurice Hines and Earth, Wind and Fire's very own Maurice White, with the book written by MTV Books scribe Heru Ptah. Hot Feet features the music of Earth, Wind and Fire, including such hits as "After the Love is Gone", "Boogie Wonderland", "Shining Star", and "September," in addition to seven all-new original songs written by Mr. White for this production.
