David Gray may not be the first name which springs to mind when it comes to the subject of double albums, but his last record Foundling was just that. The singer songwriter has experimented with many sounds during his career, but Foundling was a sonically stripped back affair. A deeply personal effort, it lived or died on the honesty of Gray's songwriting. Gray has certainly earned that kind of confidence in his own abilities, having been a mainstay of the music world since White Ladder back in 1998.
After taking a well earned break after that double album effort, Gray is back on the road again, previewing material from his forthcoming tenth studio album. His tour, which has already played to sold out crowds in LA and San Francisco, will heading across the US, before finishing in up in Toronto in early May.
