Q:  What is the best availability for tickets?
Weeknights are better than weekends; the further in the future you go, the better the availability.

Q: What do tickets cost? 
Same price scale for all performances. All orchestra, loge and front mezzanine seats $100, all mid-mezzanine seats $75, all rear-mezzanine seats $50. For a seating chart, CLICK HERE.

Q: How long will the show be running & how far out are tickets on sale? 
The show is open-ended and tickets are currently on-sale thru May 8th, 2005.

Q: When are the leads leaving the show? 
Idina Menzel & Joey McIntyre leave on January 9, 2005. Jennifer Laura Thompson, George Hearn and Carole Shelley leave on April 17, 2005.
 

Q: Is the show appropriate for my 5-year old? 
Recommended for ages 8 & up (some parts may be scary and/or long for young children). Please, no children under 4.

Q: What is the running time of the show? 
Approx. 2 hrs 45 mins. (Act 1: 1hr 30 min / Act 2: 1hr) 15 minute intermission 

Q: What is the lottery & how does it work? 
There are a limited number of $25 front row seats available for each performance. Limit 2 tickets per person, cash only. Names will be collected 2½ hrs prior to each performance and drawn 2 hrs prior to each performance. Winners must be present (with photo ID) when their names are called, or they forfeit their tickets.

Q: What are my chances of getting a lottery ticket on any given night? 
The number of people who sign up for the lottery varies nightly, but on average expect 200 - 400 people.

Q: What is the cancellation line and how does it work? 
If a show is sold-out, a very limited number of day-of-performance tickets may get released for sale (at the box office only) right before show time. To purchase released tickets you must stand in the cancellation line at the box office on the day-of-performance only. Standing in the cancellation line does not guarantee a ticket. The number of tickets available varies per show and are available on a first-come first-served base in the cancellation line.

Q: Are there lower price tickets available? 
Yes. There are a limited number of $55 partial-view side-orchestra tickets that can be purchased in advance at the box office, online at www.Ticketmaster.com and over the phone - 212.307.4100. In these seats, you will miss some of the scenic elements at the back or side of the stage; however none of the primary action or story telling of the show will be missed.

Q: Are there discounted tickets available for students or seniors? 
Yes - for Student Groups of 20 or more only. Call Group Sales Box Office at 212.398.8383.

Q: Are there standing room tickets? 
No. The Gershwin Theatre was not designed to accommodate standing room tickets.

Q: Are backstage tours available? 
Tours are currently only available to groups, upon request, for a donation fee to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids. The fee amount depends on the size of the group.

Q: Is the theatre wheelchair accessible? Is there different pricing? 
Yes. $25 tickets for wheelchair patron & one companion.

Q: Are there devices for the hard-of-hearing? 
Yes. Available free-of-charge inside the lobby.

Q:  Where is show merchandise available? 
A limited selection in the lobby during the day when the box office is open. A full selection in the upper lobby 45-minutes before show time, during intermission, and after show; also a full selection available 24/7 online. For the online Ozdust Boutique, CLICK HERE.

Q: What time should I arrive at the theatre? 
Doors open 45 minutes before show time. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before show time.

Q: Are there concessions inside the theatre? 
Yes. Soft drinks, water, cocktails, candy & show merchandise (no food). No food is allowed into the theatre.
 

Q: Can I smoke in the Theatre?
No smoking in the theatre; patrons may go outside during intermission
 

Q: Can I take photgraphs of the show?
Absolutely NO recording devices are allowed in the theatre, including still cameras
