Eugene Ionesco’s great absurdist comedy Exit the King is coming to Broadway for a strictly limited fourteen-week engagement, starring the peerless Academy Award winners Geoffrey Rush and Susan Sarandon. This momentous production marks Mr. Rush’s Broadway debut and Ms. Sarandon’s first time on Broadway in over twenty-five years. The cast also stars Emmy Award nominee Lauren Ambrose and Tony Award winner Andrea Martin.

Berenger I is sovereign to a decaying realm. His vast armies are dispersed, the walls are tumbling and even the palace washing machine has been pawned. His partner wife advises him that he has only the length of the play to live, while his trophy wife attempts to distract his attention from this distasteful reality.
