The DR2 Theatre production of Stars of David is a concert presentation of the popular 2005 book by Abigail Pogrebin, also entitled Stars of David. Both the book and this performance act as a celebration of the Jewish identity of America's most notable public figures through interviews with Gwyneth Paltrow, Marilyn and Alan Bergman, Norman Lear, Joan Rivers and Gloria Steinem amongst others.
With their stories translated into songs by some of Broadway's favorite lyricists and composers, the concert promised to be a humorous and captivating evening for Jewish and non-Jewish audiences alike.
The production team includes Gordon Greenberg as the director and a musical team including Gaby Alter, Marilyn and Alan Bergman, Michael Feinstein and Marvin Hamlisch.
