Currently playing at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park, this marks the first such performance of Shakespeare's political thriller for 17 years at the beloved summer venue. Focused on the rise of Rome's magnetic leader, Julius Caesar, he is a formidable force of being, unlike any the city has ever seen. A charismatic politician he appears to be hellbent on gaining absolute power. Angry with this threat to their political system, it is left to a small band of patriots, to take matters in their own hands.
This new production comprises a cast of well-known actors, including Corey Stoll, last seen as the doomed Peter Russo in House Of Cards, Gregg Henry and Edward James Hyland, plus many more! Oskar Eustis directs Shakespearepolitically relevant thriller for the ages.
