NEW YORK CITY BALLET: JUST FOR FUN

Ended 6 Oct 2013 after 9 days

A delightful collection of three fantastical stories, brought to life through imaginative costumes, sets and dance!

Closed 6 Oct 2013
A whimsical collection of ballet works created specifically for the whole family. Including three pieces each boast vibrant costumes, sets and choreography, the New York City Ballet's Just For Fun program is a great way to introduce younger audiences to the magical world of ballet theatre.

Carnival of the Animals is a particularly appealing piece, with narration written by John Lithgow telling the tale of a young boy who spends a night in a museum where all the displays and characters come to life!

The full program includes:

Carnival of the Animals
Choreography by Christopher Wheeldon
Music by Camille Saint-Sa?ns

Jeu de Cartes
Choreography by Peter Martins
Music by Igor Stravinsky
