Written by comedian Steve Martin and singer-songwriter Edie Brickell, Bright Star is a winsome bluegrass musical, set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Directed by Tony winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago), Bright Star makes it Broadway debut after acclaimed productions in San Diego and Washington.

Currently owned by the Shubert Organization, Cort Theatre is the only legitimate theatre designed by Thomas Lamb still operating in New York City. America's foremost theatre architect, Lamb modelled the Cort's iconic facade on the Petit Trianon in Versailles. It has been home to some of Broadway's most acclaimed plays in recent years, including Fences and This Is Our Youth.
