Why See Romeo & Juliet?

This contemporary re-imagining of Shakespeare's greatest romance is produced by the Classic Stage Company and stars some of Hollywood's hottest young actors in the leading roles. Film actress Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene, Liberal Arts) will perform as Juliet, accompanied by new talent Julian Cihi as Romeo. Theodore Raymond (or "T.R.") Knight of Grey's Anatomy fame will play Romeo's best friend, Mercutio, while two-time Tony nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega perform as Juliet's Nurse.

The Classic Stage Company's Romeo & Juliet is directed by the multi-talented Tea Alagic and features set design by Marsha Ginsberg, a set and costume designer and installation artist.
