Why See Daniel's Husband?

Off Broadway Shows

New York Premiere

For Mitchell and Daniel, it seems like marriage is inevitable. They are besotted with each other, have a great life, good jobs, and Daniel's mother is practically drawing up the guestlist. The one problem is that Mitchell is against marriage, full stop - gay or otherwise.

Written by Michael McKeever, Daniel's Husband confounds all expectations, as a mid-play twist transforms it from a light-hearted domestic drama, to a tragedy that takes an unflinching look at loss and love. Deft and exquisitely executed, this play made its world premiere in Fort Lauderdale in 2015, and has since played in Miami and Boca Raton. The Off-Broadway premiere is directed by Joe Brancato, and stars Matthew Montelongo and Ryan Spahn.
