In 1921, an Armenian mail-order bride is shipped to Milwaukee to begin a new life with her photographer husband. She is not quite the "picture bride" her husband expected, and he does not meet her expectations either. Both yearn to emerge from the dark shadows of the Armenian holocaust. As they struggle to redefine family, these kindred strangers realize a love deeper than they ever imagined. (Drama)
