Two soul legends join forces for a special night
NYCB Theatre welcomes two legends of soul for a night of smooth vibes and funky basslines.
The international group Heatwave burst onto the world's music scene in 1977 with their iconic track Boogie Nights. With British songwriter extraordinare Rod Tempteron (who would later pen Thriller and Rock With You for Michael Jackson) at the keyboards, the group pumped out a string of cool hits, including Always and Forever and The Groove Line. Founding member Keith Wilder lends his unmistakable vocals to this current incarnation of the group.
The Sylistics are best known for their softer side, specialising in laid-back r&b ballads, like their signature number You Make Me Feel Brand New, as well as Betcha By Golly, Wow and I'm Stone in Love With You.
