Mamma Mia! was the brainchild of British producer Judy Cramer and playwright Catherine Johnson, who was motivated to create the Abba based spectacular after meeting two members Benny and Bjorn when working with Tim Rice. WHAT IS MAMMA MIA! ABOUT?
On the sunny Greek Island of Kalokairi, Sophie is dreaming of her forthcoming wedding to Sky, but is saddened that her mother Donna has never told her about her father. Reading Donna's diary, she identifies three suspects from her past, adventurer Bill, successful Sam and ex-rocker Harry and secretly invites them to the island, hoping to quiz them.
As Donna struggles to confront her past, her and two best friends take a trip down memory lane, recalling their glory days as glam rockers Donna and the Dynamos. But will seeing her ex-lovers rekindle old flames? And who is Sophie's father anyway? Find out in this crowd-pleasing juggernaut!
