Roundabout Underground's Latest
Written by newcomer Alex Lubischer, currently a first year candidate in Yale's Playwriting Program, Bobbie Clearly is a dark comedy that begins with a grisly death in rural Nebraska. As each of the many townsfolk reveal what they know about the death, the play's ambitious narrative scope grows more complex and layered, and its cast of supporting characters ever more intriguing. Nominated for a 2018 Drama Desk Award - Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play for Constance Shulman!
Bobbie Clearly is the latest play to be produced as part of Roundabout Underground, the company's annual season dedicated to new and emerging talents. Underground has previously staged the first major works by some of America's most accomplished modern playwrights, including Stephen Karam (The Humans) and Joshua Harmon (Bad Jews).
