LOSING LOUIE

Manhattan Theatre Club presents the American premiere of Simon Mendes da Costa's new play, Losing Louie.

Manhattan Theatre Club presents the American premiere of Simon Mendes da Costa's new play, Losing Louie. The following description is from the show's press release: "How do our childhood memories affect our lives? How do the mistakes of one generation impact the next? And most importantly, why does love make us do such crazy things? Interwoven events from the past and present blend together in this new play, as two generations of family members work things out in the same bedroom, 50 years apart."

Secrets refuse to remain buried as Jewish and non-Jewish family members are brought together after years of separation. The funeral of their father is the catalyst for a showdown in the bedroom—the place where all the confusion began.

After a critically lauded run in London, Simon Mendes da Costa's play gets its American premiere at Manhattan Theatre Club's Biltmore Theatre.
