Malleson's play finally makes it to the stage

First published in 1933, Miles Malleson's play about infidelity finally gets its world premiere staging Off-Broadway in the closing days of 2016. Produced and staged by Mint Theatre Company, who are renowned for rediscovering lost and previously unseen works, this heartwarming yet poignant play is directed by Jonathan Bank and takes a sympathetic look at a married couple trapped in a rut who decide on drastic action to spice things up in their love life.

What happens when you have reached that point in your marriage when you feel overly comfortable? That is the question Miles Malleson poses for his married couple who decide that in order to spice up their sex lives, they should do it with other people with complete honesty and no judgement. A human look at relationships, without imposing judgement or morality values upon the characters, the play makes us examine our own relationships. When first published a handful of reviews who managed to get hold of the work gave it critical praise for its humanity and lack of moral panic.
