Why See In the Secret Sea?

PlaysOff Broadway Shows

A triple Tony-winning team

This world premiere play by Cate Ryan sees a Tony-winning trio board the creative team in a heartbreaking tale of family choices. Annie director Martin Charnin helms the production, joined by Beowulf Boritt and Ken Billington on the design side. The story follows a married couple, fresh from honeymoon who face a life or death conundrum that changes all of their lives forever.

With a limited five-week run, the opportunity to see Shelly Burch, of the original cast of Nine, as well as appearing in the TV serial One Life to Live for eight years is hoped to draw in audiences. Cate Ryan's previous work includes The Picture Box in 2012, which painted a touching picture of a black caretaker befriending a neglected wealthy white girl who is emotionally abandoned by her parents.
