The Irish all-male wonder from producer Sharon Browne.
Celtic Thunder is are embarking on their Christmas "Symphony Tour" and will perform at the Beacon Theater in New York, NY, showing for one date only on 24 Sep 2011!
The second annual Celtic Thunder cruise docks in Miami on the 12th November, heralding the start of the group's US Tour. This is the group's first ever symphony tour, and along with their regular band they'll be joined by a different symphony orchestra for each of their dates. In a festive themed show, they'll be playing tracks from last year's Christmas Voices. The album was a mixture of popular classics such as Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Fairytale of New York and hymns like O Holy Night, all performed in the boy's inimitable style.
Celtic Thunder formed in 2007 and have gone from success to success. Their mixture of traditional Celtic folk songs with more contemporary numbers (not to mention their boy band looks) have won them fans in very high places. They had the honour of opening the Saint Patrick's Day Parade in 2009 and have played for the Obamas at the White House.
Their current lineup is: Colm Keegan, Ryan Kelly, Keith Harkin, Neil Byrne, Emmet Cahill and Emmett O'Hanlon. These series of concerts mark the debut tour for new group member O'Hanlon. Born in New York City, the 23 year old Emmett is something of a singing prodigy, having starred already starred in several Julliard and Metropolitan Opera productions. He joins the group in place of the late George Donaldson.
Opening night: 24 September 2011
Closing night: 24 September 2011
Suitable for audiences of all ages
