Ooooweeeeoooooo
This fall, The Barclays Center plays host to the North American premiere of this stunning exploration of the music of the long running British sci-fi series. Since its millennial reboot, Murray Gold has been composing the soundtrack to The Doctor's adventures with unyielding passion, including re-invigorating the classic 1963 opening theme of this iconic show! Hosted by Michelle Gomez who plays Missy, the current incarnation of The Doctor's nemeses The Master, 100 musicians and singers and conductor Ben Foster will bring you the best of Gold's work, with some assistance from some old friends (and foes!)
Beginning in the early 60's, Doctor Who tells the tale of an enigmatic time-traveller and his monumental spaceship, or T.A.R.D.I.S. Through out his many incarnations, he is joined by a loyal army of companions, usually humans who travel through space and time fighting the evil in the galaxy. After a dozen or so years on hiatus, the show was rebooted in 2005 to massive acclaim, with the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Doctors winning the hearts and minds of fans old and new.
