Conceived, written and directed by Royal Shakespeare Company alum Paterson Joseph (HBO's The Leftovers) Sancho: An Act of Remembrance is just that. An often moving, witty and always charming exploration of the remarkable life of one Charles "Sancho" Ignatius, an 18th Century actor, satirist and composer, painted by Thomas Gainsborough and also England's first ever British African to have the vote. As one of the most respected figures of his day, 'Sancho' takes you along on his incredible journey and provides insight into the often misunderstood British African experience at the time.
