Pulitzer Prize-Winning Drama
Ed Harris (A History of Violence) and Amy Madigan (Field of Dreams) lead the cast of Sam Shepard's powerful play, which returns to New York 20 years after its last major production. A vivid work which careens from dark comedy one moment to tragedy the next, Buried Child thoroughly deconstructs the mythical American Heartland by way of Shepard's trademark naturalistic dialogue. Originally premiereing in New York in 1978, it won its author the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and catapulted him to worldwide fame.
Starring alongside Harris and Madigan in this revival are Rich Sommer (Harry Crane on AMC's Mad Men), Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story) and Larry Pine (House of Cards), while The New Group's Artistic Director Scott Elliott helms the production.
